Privacy Policy

1. What we collect

• Email address — if you claim a listing or sign in as an owner, to send a one-time verification link.
• Content you submit — a booking link or guest testimonials, if you're a verified owner.
• IP address — briefly, to rate-limit claim and login requests against abuse; not stored long-term or tied to your browsing.
• Search queries — stored to improve search, without any identifier linking them back to you.
• Admin account credentials — for internal team members only, stored as a salted hash, never in plain text.

We don't require an account or collect personal data just to search or browse listings.

2. Cookies

We use two session cookies, both strictly functional: one keeps an owner signed in after claiming a listing, the other keeps an admin signed in to the internal dashboard. Neither is used for advertising or cross-site tracking, and we don't run any analytics or ad-tracking scripts on the site.

3. Who we share data with

We use a small number of service providers to run InnFinder, each processing only what it needs to do its job:

• Google Places — sourcing and displaying inn business data and photos.
• Anthropic (Claude) — generating listing descriptions and parsing search queries.
• Voyage AI — generating embeddings that power semantic search.
• Resend — delivering claim/login verification emails.
• Mapbox — rendering the search map (subject to Mapbox's own privacy terms).

We don't sell your personal data, and we don't share it with anyone else for their own marketing purposes.

4. How long we keep it

We keep data for as long as it serves the purpose it was collected for — an owner's account for as long as they hold a claimed listing, for example. You can ask us to delete your data at any time (see Contact below).

5. Your rights

You can ask us what data we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted, by contacting us. We don't yet have a self-serve tool for this — every request is handled directly by us.

6. Children

InnFinder isn't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product changes. We'll update the date above when we do.
