Mountain retreat independent inns

Tucked into wooded acreage just outside downtown Asheville, Willow Winds is a scattering of warm cabins where private hot tubs steam on the decks after a day in the Blue Ridge. Footpaths wind through the property to a trout pond, and the surrounding trails make it easy to stay put rather than drive anywhere. With a 4.9 rating across more than 1,400 reviews, it's the kind of quiet woodland retreat guests tend to return to.
