A bayside stop along Route 1 in Lincolnville, The Mount Battie Inn keeps things unfussy: country-style rooms with en suite bathrooms, breakfast included, and WiFi that comes free with the key. It's the kind of mid-coast Maine lodging that works as a base for the day rather than a destination in itself — modest, tidy, and named for the mountain that rises nearby. Guests give it a steady 4.1 across more than a hundred reviews.
