Eco Conscious independent inns

Tucked down its own lane between Camden and Rockport on Maine's midcoast, this country-style bed & breakfast keeps things unfussy and genuinely welcoming — a breakfast buffet to start the day, a pool for the warm months, and a plate of cookies waiting each night. Solar panels on the roof hint at an owner's eye for detail rather than a corporate checklist, and the steady 4.6-star average across more than 660 reviews suggests guests notice.
