Woodstock, Vermont
A straightforward roadside motel on Route 4 just west of Woodstock village, Sleep Woodstock keeps things refreshingly simple: warm, tidy rooms outfitted with microwaves, coffeemakers and free Wi-Fi. The 4.9-star average across more than 600 reviews suggests guests find the welcome here unusually attentive for the category — the kind of place travelers remember for the hosting rather than the frills. A practical Green Mountain base for anyone who'd rather spend their money on the drive than the room.
