Coastal south independent inns

Tucked onto Pitt Street in Mount Pleasant's old village, the Post House is a historic inn where the dining room does as much work as the guest rooms — a polished restaurant that draws locals as readily as overnight visitors. Upstairs, old-world rooms keep things unhurried, with Wi-Fi and breakfast included. The 4.5-star average across nearly 700 reviews suggests the kitchen and the hospitality are holding up their end.
